The RFU have updated their guidance around identifying and managing concussions in Rugby.
"Headcase", the RFU's concussion awareness training module has been updated in line with recent medical advice, used to update the UK Concussion Guidelines for (non-elite) grassroots sport, published by the UK Government.
The update see's the RFU moving away from the "Graduated Return to Play" protocol (GRTP), to the new "Graduated Return to Activity & Sport" protocol (GRAS) which has been adapted to include rugby specific context and examples.
ACTION: All parents and players to please visit the advice located here and read the update guidance.
ACTION: All club officials, e.g. Team Managers, Coaches, EFA's, Physios etc to please complete the official training via GMS Coursefinder, so that their GMS profile is updated. The link above is just for the open-access training intended for parents and players. Please ask in the TM WhatsApp group if you need help finding the Headcase course on Coursefinder.
